| ‘Wreckers or Builders? |
| We have a copy of ‘Wreckers or Builders? A History of Labour MEPs 1979-1999’ available for review. ‘From the leadership of Barbara Castle to the Labour Government of Tony Blair’, this new title from John Harper Publishing offers ‘fascinating stories ... of a Labour group which mixed members who were hell-bent on fundamentalist anti-Europeanism with mainstream European social democrats ...' In exchange for a short review, this 360-page paperback can be yours. Interested? Contact Eric Davies |

LinoLounge Described as 'the place where EU experts can spot jobs ads, freelance opportunities, or be hunted directly by recruiters', LinoLounge also claims to allow those of us who work with EU information to assess the impact of proposals, gossip on who does what in the EU bubble, highlight training courses etc. Interesting idea, which will clearly be of greater value as more people join.

| AskEric |
Our AskEric enquiry service, exclusive to EIA Members, can confidentially answer
all manner of questions. Visit the website to logon and send your AskEric question. In the last week, Eric received this query: We are an information centre dealing mainly with SMEs and have been asked by a local haulage company if it is possible to get hold of 'letters of attestation' in different EU languages. Do you where we can find them? Eric replied: These letters are provided by employers to drivers visiting other Member States, in some of which the use of such letters is compulsory. A printable version (in English) is available in M/S Word format on the Commission's 'Road Transport' pages - see this document. The model for the letter is set out in Annex III to Regulation (EC) No 484/2002 of the European Parliament and of the Council amending Council Regulations (EEC) No 881/92 and (EEC) No 3118/93 for the purposes of establishing a driver attestation. You can therefore obtain it in other languages by going to the Regulation page on Eur-Lex, selecting the language version (s) required and finding Annex III. |
