On the web
Public opinion
The Commission's Eurobarometer surveys and studies address major topics, with recent coverage including: employment and social policy; climate change; enlargement; the information society; solidarity between generations; higher education.

EU glossary
There are a number of sources which can help our understanding of the jargon-ridden EU, including this glossary which is part of the 'Summaries of EU legislation' resource (previously SCADPlus).

Training
Due to the difficult economic climate, the Association is not currently running any public training courses. We are, however, still able to offer in-house training, so if you and your colleagues would benefit from finding out about the EU, how it works and the documents it produces, please get in touch to discuss your requirements.

This week, Eric was asked about using the ECJ website to find cases. He said:

The Court of Justice site includes two search options. One forms part of the ECJ's main page and has limited options, with the user needing to already know some details, e.g. parties, case number. The other search option (accessed via the left-hand menu under 'Case-law') is a page titled Case-law since 1997 and allows cases to be identified using pre-defined fields and keywords. Note that the keyword option will work better for phrases if the words are enclosed in "speechmarks".
