Vocational Education and Training

In its Communication 'A new impetus for European cooperation in Vocational Education and Training to support the Europe 2020 strategy' (COM (2010) 296) the European Commission sets out its vision for the future of VET, building on the Europe 2020 strategy and the Strategic framework for European cooperation in education and training up to 2020. The Commission wants to encourage more people to take up vocational education, improve the quality of training offered and make it easier to move between jobs and countries. Ministers are expected to discuss and adopt the plan by the end of 2010.
