CARS 21

Building on the December 2011 Interim Report, the Final Report of the CARS 21 Group ’sets out a complete vision for the automotive industry in 2020’. Recommendations are made on issues such as electro-mobility, road safety, market access strategy and CO2 emissions. In response, the European Commission is to adopt a Communication setting out how it proposes to implement the recommendations. A new ’CARS 2020 Group’ will meet annually to monitor progress towards  implementation.
